For Immediate Release
Cr. William Maslin said today, that he will be requesting Gundagai Shire Council at its next Ordinary Meeting in February, to consider reallocating $20,000 in the 2009-10 budget from Carberry Park capital works to developing the entrances of Gundagai, Nangus and Muttama.
Cr. Maslin said with the $100,000 Regional and Local Community Infrastructure Program funding being spent on Carberry Park, we can now divert the $20,000 to a worthwhile project such as town entrances.
"$100,000 will be spent improving Carberry Park to benefit the locals and tourists, so now lets get the tourists in the front door by making the approaches to and into Gundagai appealing as well, to compliment the investment in Carberry Park;" Cr. Maslin said
